Bertrandt is currently seeking a detail-oriented Export Control Officer to strengthen our team. As an Export Control Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with international export regulations and company policies concerning the export of aerospace, defense, or dual-use products, technology, and services. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, outstanding communication skills, and an in-depth understanding of export control laws within the aerospace and / or defense sectors.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement comprehensive export control procedures and policies tailored to the aerospace and / or defense sectors, in strict adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure robust compliance with aerospace and / or defense-specific export control requirements.
• Evaluate and classify aerospace products, technology, and services to ascertain export control jurisdiction and classification accurately.
• Inspect aerospace and defense export transactions and documentation meticulously for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Provide expert guidance and tailored training to internal stakeholders on export control regulations and requirements specific to aerospace and defense.
• Act as the primary point of contact for government agencies and external partners on export control matters, fostering strong relationships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional aerospace teams to address and resolve export compliance issues proactively, mitigating risks.
• Manage licenses, permits, and authorizations related to aerospace and defense exports, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
• Investigate and report any potential export control violations promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

What you bring along :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace export compliance, preferably within the aerospace industry.
• Deep knowledge of international aerospace and defense trade regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and other relevant regulations.
• Proven experience in conducting aerospace and defense export compliance audits and assessments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
