Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

About the job and your team

Are you passionate about driving innovation in manufacturing technology? Do you thrive in a dynamic, global environment? We’re looking for a determined and proactive professional to help implement and support the IMPEX Manufacturing Process Control System across new Hydro locations in Europe and Brazil.

As part of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless system implementation, incident resolution, training, and continuous improvement across 73 presses, 37 locations, and 18 countries worldwide. We’re seeking for 3 colleagues to cover 3 different regions :

  • Southern Europe (Italy, France, Spain, Portugal)

You will work on

IMPEX Implementation on New Presses

  • Lead project management & reporting for new installations, collaborating with PMO to define project planning, documentation, and cost tracking.
  • Assess and define specific needs for new presses, ensuring seamless ERP and Quality system integration when required.
  • Coordinate with internal and external PLC programmers to ensure compliance with system standards.
  • Configure applications to meet site-specific requirements.
  • Train operators and middle management on-site to ensure smooth adoption of the system.
  • Identify and specify new module requirements or improvements to enhance system functionality.
  • Participate in on-site Go-Live support for successful implementation.
  • Provide training and user support for existing IMPEX installations.
  • Manage Small Project Requests (SPR), ensuring efficient follow-ups and implementations.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to resolve incidents and improve system stability.
  • Develop new reports using Power BI and BIRT to enhance decision-making.
  • Maintain clear documentation, share best practices, and communicate system improvements effectively.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all work aligns with Hydro’s Quality System, HSE regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Good IT knowledge combined with a strong interest in manufacturing processes
  • 1-3 years of experience working with SQL, Power BI, and various databases—preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • A Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Vocational Degree in a relevant field.
  • Fluent English (additional languages are a plus!).
  • A determined, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, conflict-handling, and customer service abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality work
