Position Summary

The Security Analyst (m / f / d) in the Advanced Security division supports the Security Operations Center (SOC) with tasks such as Information Security Event Analysis, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Security Service Delivery. The role involves protecting customer and company data and supporting security initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Enhance security for Syntax and its clients
• Manage alerts, incidents, and requests following ITIL processes (ServiceNow)
• Operate security tools (Vulnerability management, EDR, IDS / IPS, SIEM)
• Run scripts and automations (Linux / Windows)
• Support PAM solutions (CyberArk)
• Deploy and configure security tools
• Monitor, detect, hunt, and remediate threats
• Contribute to Incident Response procedures
• Stay updated on security trends and technologies
• Participate in 24 / 7 on-call rotations

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; German a plus
• Strong analytical skills
• Basic security and network knowledge
• Understanding of Windows / Unix and TCP / IP
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible) is a plus
• Self-motivated learner
• Knowledge of security principles and at least two areas such as EDR, SIEM, IDS / IPS, Vulnerability Management, IAM, Email Security, or cloud tech (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• 3+ years in security-related fields
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Problem-solving skills
• Resourcefulness and motivation
• Team-oriented attitude
