Temporary Production Manager, Concert Series

Job Description :

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Concert Services, the Concert Services Production Manager assists with production aspects and maintenance of facilities, including sound, electrical, and lighting systems. The role supports concerts, clinics, recitals, and other events both on and off-campus, coordinating setup and use of facilities for college and rental functions. Supervises 2-14 student workers across up to four venues, mainly during evenings and weekends.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities :

• Supervise and train work-study stage crew employees.
• Manage technical and lighting needs for events at conservatory venues and off-campus.
• Ensure proper front-of-house and back-of-house protocols are followed by student workers, ensuring smooth, timely, and incident-free events while enforcing occupancy limits.
• Coordinate equipment and instrument transportation between venues.
• Review technical and production requirements, equipment needs, and repairs with the Associate Director.
• Maintain and distribute event, production, and maintenance records.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
