Skills :

• Must-haves :
• 10+ years of experience in the Azure ecosystem, with expertise in Databricks
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and platforms (Data Warehouses / Lakehouses)
• Strong knowledge of modern data formats and table standards, especially Delta Lake
• Experience with Generative AI, preferably with Azure AI Foundry and/or LangChain
• Advanced data modeling and SQL skills
• Back-end development experience using Python for APIs and web services
• Proficiency in CI / CD practices with Azure DevOps or GitHub
• Ability to lead architectural decisions across cross-functional teams
• Nice-to-haves :
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog migration
• Familiarity with Apache Arrow, DuckDB, or Polars
• Experience with real-time/streaming data architectures
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

Contract and Process :

This is a freelance contract based in Spain. The initial engagement is for 6 months with near full-time dedication. Extensions may be considered based on performance and project needs.
