We integrate soil microbiology into agricultural decision-making to optimise farming practices and reverse the degradation of arable soils. We are seeking a highly accomplished, visionary, and driven Head of Finance to lead our Finance team at Biome Makers. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be pivotal in shaping the company’s financial strategy and ensuring operational excellence on a global scale.

Location : Spain (remote)

Duties & Responsibilities :

1. Financial Strategy and Planning :

Develop and implement the organization's financial strategy.

Forecast financial trends and prepare long-term financial plans.

Identify opportunities for growth and cost optimization.

1. Financial Reporting and Compliance :

Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.

Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to financial laws and standards.

Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure transparency in financial reporting.

1. Budgeting and Cost Management :

Establish and manage budgets across departments.

Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals.

1. Capital Management :

Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure operational stability.

Manage investments, financing, and capital structure decisions.

Negotiate with banks, investors, and other financial institutions for funding needs.

1. Business Strategy :

Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and board of directors on financial implications of business decisions.

Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic opportunities.
