At Hitachi Energy, we are investing to establish and develop an Operation Center of Excellence in Madrid, Spain (ESOPC) within Grid & Power Quality Solutions in Europe. We are seeking highly qualified engineers in Power Electronics, Grid Integration, and R&D to join us in this exciting opportunity.
We leverage our technology leadership, extensive expertise, and global footprint to provide lifecycle value solutions across sectors like utilities, renewables, industry, transportation, data centers, and infrastructure.
Our Power Electronics Solutions Team supports the green energy transition with technologies that enhance resilience, stability, and capacity of the power grid. Hitachi Energy provides solutions for electrification and power systems, including power electronic systems for conversion and quality.
As part of the Spanish Operation Centre, you will support the design, manufacturing, and delivery of these technologies across Europe.
Design, implement, and verify power control algorithms and logic for FACTS devices.
Maintain contact with engineering teams, lead engineers, local offices, and customers to meet control requirements.
Perform testing of control system software and hardware.
BSc or MSc in engineering, preferably in Control Systems, Power Systems, Automatic Control, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Experience in similar roles with electrical power plants, converter stations, control systems, or automation is highly valued.
Proficiency in English is essential; Knowledge of power quality applications and MACH system experience are advantageous.
