Formación

  • Experience in food or feed industry is a plus.

Summary : As a Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success and growth of our plant. You will be responsible for all plant operations, implementing industry best practices and inspiring your team to achieve higher and higher levels of performance to achieve excellence. Your team's success contributes to your success.

You will have an essential role as a visionary leader for the factory, guiding performance towards excellence while creating a safe, inclusive, and ethical work environment. Your role is crucial for the success and continued growth of our plant.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Safety First : Responsible for the safety of everyone on site and the safety performance of the site, as measured by the Forward and Lagging KPIs.
  • Operations Management : Overseeing daily operations, with a focus on quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. You will use integrated information systems and automation tools to optimize processes and maintenance processes (Preventive, predictive maintenance, contractors management).
  • Strategic Vision : In line with your Operations Senior Manager or Director, develop a clear vision for the plant, including necessary investments and plans to achieve excellence.
  • Continuous Improvement : Encourage and lead a culture of continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities, implementing Lean Six Sigma projects, and encouraging employee suggestions.
  • Environmental Sustainability : Incorporate sustainable practices into factory operations, including waste reduction, responsible energy consumption, and maintaining certifications and adherence to environmental standards.
  • Quality and Customer Satisfaction Management : Establish quality management systems to ensure products meet expected standards per regulations and SLAs, maintaining high customer satisfaction consistently.
  • Performance : Manage the plant budget using activity-based cost management tools for accurate resource allocation and plant CAPEX plan and follow up. Monitor KPIs to assess factory’s performance, ensure compliance and transparency.
  • HR : Lead a team of production and supervisors, inspiring, motivating, and developing them in a collaborative work environment. Strong collaboration is also expected with your Director of Operations.

Required Skills :

  • Dedication to working safely and awareness for the safety of others.
  • Operational experience in leading a manufacturing plant.
  • Knowledge of Quality constraints and Customer Service.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement with problem-solving and optimization toolbox.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant engineers, operators, R&D, and upper management.
  • Willingness to spend time in plant areas on a daily basis.
  • Strategic Decision-Making.
  • Operational Agility.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate in Spanish and English.

Required Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Engineering and / or production manufacturing is preferred.

Required Experience :

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in food or feed industry is a plus.

Desired Experience :

  • The ability to speak Spanish and English.
