As the Crew Leader, you will supervise crew members, prioritize safety, and enforce policies and procedures outlined in the Company Handbook.
Job Responsibilities
- Prioritize project tasks assigned by the Project Manager and delegate them appropriately to the team.
- Ensure all crew members use proper safety gear and precautions at all times.
- Prepare materials and maintain material inventories.
- Complete administrative tasks such as filling out daily work tickets, taking photos, checking in/out of jobs, and communicating with Project Managers regarding job status and issues.
- Ensure projects meet scope and workmanship standards and are completed on time.
- Perform quality control on projects during closeout.
- Enforce state laws regarding employee rest and meal breaks.
- Immediately escalate personnel issues to the Project Manager.
- Assist with installing lighting fixtures, lamps, ballasts, controls, or related items.
- Work from ladders, lifts, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring and fixtures, performing physically demanding tasks using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Understand and comply with government and local regulations, ordinances, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications and Education
- Minimum of 5 years of lighting and retrofit experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Willingness to travel and work overnight shifts.
- Reliability and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer service skills for working directly with on-site personnel.
- NRLT, CSLT, and/or CALT certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Overnight travel up to 80%.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 20 lbs.
- Work involves traveling to multiple job sites daily, including retail stores, commercial buildings, and warehouses.
