Job Description

Enterprise Architect (100% remote from EU)

Description of Tasks

• Moderate and guide the ePO Working Group discussions, providing technical guidance and assistance. Maintain and publish minutes of meetings.
• Offer intuitive explanations and suggestions to advance the ontology work semantically correctly.
• Support implementers via GitHub and email.
• Review and prepare technical documentation, communication, and presentation materials.
• Create and update ePO documentation, ensuring clarity on ontology design and usage.
• Regularly update ontology artifacts : conceptual model, Glossary, OWL file, SHACL Shapes, Restrictions, and html-conventions-report.
• Manage source control and release lifecycle.
• Collaborate with eForms, ESPD-EDM, and TED Open Data Service teams for integration and alignment with other standards and products, including the Public Procurement Data Space.
• Develop and maintain internal tools and automations to facilitate operations.
• Assist with technical decision-making and project steering.
• Interact with business analysts, customers, users, project leaders, and developers.
• Level 7 of the European Qualification Framework, typically a master's or 5 years of higher education.

Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent knowledge of Semantic Web Technologies, Ontologies, Linked Data, and Knowledge Graphs.
• Proficiency in Data Analysis and Data Modelling with the ability to present technically and business-wise.
• High standards in quality and adaptability to evolving Semantic Web and Interoperability technologies.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Analysis, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to participate effectively in technical meetings.

Specific Expertise

• Formal Ontologies, OWL, SHACL
• RDF data formats
• SPARQL, triple stores, semantic search (Virtuoso experience advantageous)
• UML and systems modeling
• Experience with SPARX Enterprise Architect or Archimate
• Python programming
• Source control with Git, GitHub pipelines experience advantageous
• Freelance contract, remote work, flexible and independent engagement.
• Work on impactful digital transformation projects.
• Immediate start with long-term contract.
