Our mission is to accelerate the transition to clean energy by unlocking renewable energy markets for scalable private investments at low prices, promoting sustainable economic development.

Funding for RELP comes from philanthropic organizations including the Rockefeller Foundation, Quadrature Climate Foundation, Ballmer Group, European Climate Foundation, Packard Foundation, IKEA Foundation, Oak Foundation, and Good Energies Foundation through Climate Breakthrough.

We are seeking a Sr. Research Associate to join our dynamic, rapidly growing, and innovative organization.

The ideal candidate will be autonomous, quick to learn, and proactive. The main focus will be to enhance our analytics and energy research capabilities.

How you will contribute :

  • Research and compile information about target countries, including economic context and power market features, to prepare Country Profiles reports.
  • Create and deliver presentations or reports on relevant topics for identifying and selecting target countries.
  • Draft Collaboration Agreements with target countries or other stakeholders.
  • Prepare supplementary materials for signing Collaboration Agreements and meetings with representatives.
  • Develop reports, white papers, or documents to support decision-making or enhance understanding of key topics.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, courses, or seminars to representatives of partner countries as part of capacity-building activities.
  • Produce ad-hoc presentations or reports as required by RELP's core team.

What you will bring :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics (Mandatory)
  • Master's in Renewable Energy or related field
  • 7-10 years of research experience (Mandatory)
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the energy sector
  • Professional proficiency in English and French (Mandatory)
