DESCRIPTION

This role can be based from our Madrid office or one of our EU6 offices (Luxembourg, London, Munich, Paris or Milan).

At Amazon we are striving to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright and driven people. We are currently looking for a highly analytical and forward-thinking Finance Manager to join our growing Marketplace team in our Madrid office.

The role will be part of the EU Marketplace Financial Planning and Analysis team. You will partner closely with finance and business stakeholders in the main European markets (Spain, UK, Germany, France and Italy) and in our global HQ in Seattle with a focus on reporting and planning to help the EU Marketplace business to achieve its growth and profitability objectives.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Provide timely and insightful analysis on financial performance
  2. Support business review processes including monthly and quarterly financial reviews, planning, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis
  3. Drive planning/forecasting processes standardization and streamlining
  4. Develop tools to drive better performance understanding
  5. Ensure data accuracy, timely availability and automation in data collection
  6. Build strong relationships within a highly matrix organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
  2. Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
  3. Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
  4. Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. MBA, or CPA
  2. Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  3. Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
  4. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
