Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services. We are currently seeking a Construction Manager to join our team for a construction project in the USA.

Position Details
  • Location: The job is based between The Woodlands and Leon County, Texas.
  • Duration: Estimated 2 years. We aim to place employees on other projects after completion to ensure continuity.
Summary

The Construction Manager is responsible for directing, planning, and managing construction activities across all assigned sites to ensure projects are ahead of schedule, within budget, and compliant with safety policies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe workplace by collaborating with safety departments and adhering to safety policies.
  • Manage subcontractors, resolve issues, and maintain proper documentation for quality and safety control.
  • Evaluate weekly labor, material, and equipment costs to control project expenses.
  • Oversee productivity, quality, scheduling, and budget adherence on site.
  • Coordinate with project management to address schedule and cost concerns.
  • Participate in project start-up and close-out meetings.
  • Maintain regular communication with project management regarding project status and challenges.
  • Enforce company policies among field personnel and subcontractors.
  • Lead by building cooperative relationships, being decisive, and taking responsibility.
  • Promote a positive work environment and discipline on site.
  • Identify and develop solutions to prevent rework.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager in photovoltaic plants of >70 MW, working directly with construction teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction tools, machinery, methods, and procedures.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Attention to detail, willingness to travel, and knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 CPM, Procore, Bluebeam, MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred.
  • Physical ability to perform moderate activity, work outdoors, and navigate construction sites.
Working Conditions and Benefits
  • Work hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
