Central Operations (CO) Overview

Central Operations (CO) represents a new strategic approach within Amazon Logistics (AMZL), designed to create a scalable solution for managing an increasingly complex last mile delivery network. CO aims to transform route planning, labor planning, and the on-road delivery experience. This role offers an opportunity to support the evolving AMZL, leading the development of a top-tier operation that makes real-time, effective decisions to enhance customer and driver experiences through optimized route planning.

EU Flow Manager Responsibilities

As an EU Flow Manager, you will lead a team of Shift Managers and Schedulers, driving performance and ensuring adherence to standard processes for daily operations. Your responsibilities include developing processes, systems, and mechanisms to support the flow of hundreds of thousands of packages across multiple Delivery Stations daily. You will focus on execution and efficiency through data-driven decision-making and analytical problem-solving, with accountability for costs, customer experience, and delivery partner satisfaction. Additionally, you will coach and mentor your team, foster positive employee relations, and build leadership capacity within the organization.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Managing daily operations: Ensure all tasks are completed on time, following standard practices.
  2. Performance monitoring: Track and report on daily and weekly performance metrics; analyze trends and implement corrective actions.
  3. Process improvement: Develop and execute best practices to improve customer, cost, and partner outcomes; create scalable processes, often with innovative solutions to technical limitations.
  4. Standard work creation: Establish scalable standard procedures to support remote management of complex operations.
  5. Data-driven initiatives: Lead process improvements through quantitative analysis and decision-making.
  6. Team engagement: Support recognition and communication programs for the scheduling team.
Basic Qualifications
  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in people management
  • Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders, including peers and leadership
  • Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence decisions
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English and the local language
Preferred Qualifications
