Descripción del empleo

Amitra Capital Limited was established in 2019 to manage portfolios of non-performing loans (NPLs) and real estate on behalf of its sole investor, CPPIB. Since its inception, Amitra has built a strong track record in asset management and portfolio performance. In June 2024, Amitra entered an exciting new chapter when it was acquired by Arrow Global. While continuing to manage portfolios for CPPIB, Amitra is now expanding its focus to manage Spanish assets on behalf of a broader client base. As part of this transition, Amitra is consolidating its operations with Arrow’s wider Spanish platform. Today, Amitra manages approximately €4 billion in assets and operates through four core teams : Asset Management, Underwriting, Portfolio Management & Analytics, and Finance.

As part of our continued growth in the region, we are creating a new role for a Project Manager – Real Estate Development , to take a lead role in overseeing work-in-progress (WIP) and residential development projects across Spain, from inception through to delivery. This is a high-impact role that sits at the heart of our growing asset management platform and requires a proactive, technically capable individual who can operate across a broad range of responsibilities including :

Project Monitoring & Execution :

  • Critically evaluate proposed project plans before capital commitments are made, with specific focus on key technical features including costs, planning considerations and projected timelines.
  • Track and oversee WIP projects and residential development initiatives to ensure adherence to timelines and business plans.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective measures to maintain schedule integrity.

Reporting & Communication :

  • Prepare and present detailed reports for internal management and external stakeholders, highlighting project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Update and refine presentation materials to clearly communicate project objectives, progress, and outcomes.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless coordination and timely project delivery.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, management, and external partners to ensure alignment with project goals.

Technical Oversight :

  • Apply comprehensive technical knowledge of construction and residential development projects to troubleshoot issues and maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Travel & On-Site Management :

Required skills and experience :

  • A degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a similar field is expected. Additional professional qualifications like PMP or MRICS would be a bonus, but not essential.
  • You’ll need to have solid commercial awareness, strong attention to detail, and be comfortable reviewing technical drawings, financial models, and legal documents.
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential, both written and spoken. Spanish would be a definite advantage given the regional focus of the role.
  • Tools : You should be confident using MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with construction or project management tools would also be helpful.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing, entrepreneurial team within a well-backed and expanding platform. You'll be involved in a variety of real estate development projects across Spain and play a key role in how those projects take shape and deliver results.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the right to work in Spain without the need for visa sponsorship or a work permit transfer. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa support or relocation assistance for this role.

CVs should preferably be submitted in English to ensure a fair and consistent review process.
