Packaging Design Technician II (Temporary position)

Role Overview

This position involves executing manufacturing and design processes related to packaging materials such as labels, inserts, and boxes. The role also includes preparing documentation for new and existing products before work order releases and providing technical support to other departments.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

• Participate in meetings with the documentation control team to ensure procedures are ready before deadlines.
• Create and support label printing, IFUs production, and digital formats (CDs).
• Design new labels, inserts, and boxes.
• Manage materials needed for internal procedures.
• Support the Filling & Packaging area, especially when updating printing parameters.
• Lead external designers by providing detailed instructions for new layouts or modifications.
• Provide technical support to engineering and other departments.
• Generate variable data packaging.
• Trigger activities related to new part numbers in SAP.
• Maintain technical data sheets and documentation in digital formats such as SAP.
• Assist vendors with technical requirements.
• Ensure smooth progression of manufacturing orders and modify Bill of Materials as needed.

Collect project status information for team updates.

Internal Networking

• Coordinate with departments like QC, QA, RA, Marketing, Operational Excellence, R&D, warehouse, purchasing, and customer service to gather information for packaging material execution.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience

Additional degrees beyond the required are valuable.

Experience

Experience with printing software such as Codesoft and Bartender is required.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Office tools (Excel, Word), basic SAP knowledge, and fluency in Spanish or Catalan. Basic English reading and speaking skills are required. Knowledge of Acrobat and printing software is valuable.
