Functions

We are currently looking for a Quality Director responsible for the Spanish market. Your role will involve coordinating and supervising the implementation of Quality and Food Safety Policies across Spain, ensuring compliance with established standards and objectives in the local plants. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinate with other departments, customers, and suppliers to monitor and improve Quality and Food Safety aspects, establishing specific improvement projects.
  2. Lead improvement teams to resolve issues proactively, identify root causes, eliminate losses, and utilize tools such as TPM, Q-First, and Agility.
  3. Approve new technologies and analytical methods in collaboration with R&D and Innovation teams.
  4. Represent the company before official bodies, authorities, and associations concerning Quality and Food Safety matters.
  5. Supervise the correct application of site policies and procedures related to clients, consumers, risk management, and authorities.
  6. Audit and ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to QSE (Food Safety HACCP & GMPs, people & facilities safety).
  7. Ensure all legal licenses and certificates related to Q&E are maintained in the plants.
  8. Lead crisis management committees when necessary.
  9. Implement continuous improvement tools to enhance the company's Q&E reputation, reduce costs, and improve systems, including employee training, certifications, and internal audits.
  10. Verify product conformity with internal specifications.
  11. Implement R&D-developed procedures concerning production at the site level.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • University degree in Veterinary, Biology, Chemistry, or Food Technology.
  • At least 7 years of experience in management, processes, and quality within the food industry.
  • Experience working in multinational companies.
  • Results-oriented, with skills in change management, organization, flexibility, leadership, prevention, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel.
