Tasks
- Contribute to migrating legacy frontend code to a modern architecture based on Web Components using Lit.
- Research and propose solutions for implementing Microfrontends, including evaluating build tools like Vite or others.
- Design and implement reusable, high-performance, accessible, and well-documented components.
- Optimize frontend performance, including load times, rendering, and asset management.
- Implement and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for the frontend.
- Collaborate with backend teams to define API interface contracts.
- Refine technical specifications and UI/UX requirements.
- Manage frontend deployment, with familiarity with platforms such as AWS S3.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
- Mentor team members on modern frontend development and architectural patterns.
- Identify and resolve complex frontend issues and bugs.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to improving frontend development processes and standards.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Frontend Developer.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing Web Components, preferably with Lit.
- Experience migrating legacy frontend code to modern architectures.
- Knowledge of modern build tools like Vite, Webpack, Rollup, and the ability to evaluate them.
- Proficiency with Git workflows.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, Testing Library, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Knowledge or experience with Microfrontend architectures.
- Experience deploying frontends on platforms like AWS S3 and CloudFront.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex frontend and performance issues.
- Experience conducting code reviews and providing technical feedback.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and collaboration with designers.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work remotely.
- Fluent in Spanish and English; French and German are a plus.
- Based in Spain or willing to relocate shortly.
