Senior Software Developer (IC3) – Oracle Life Sciences

Location : Spain (remote)

We are seeking a Senior Development Engineer with expertise in distributed systems and cloud services to join Oracle Health / Life Sciences. The team develops services critical to Oracle Health's success, supporting market viability assessments of new treatments, bringing treatments to market, and ensuring patient safety globally.

We provide unique opportunities for skilled Software Development Engineers passionate about solving complex problems in distributed, cloud-based environments. Engineers at all levels contribute significantly to designing and building innovative systems that power vital applications for our clients.

As a Senior Development Engineer, your responsibilities include designing, building, and operating applications and services that span big data technologies, distributed computing, and data storage. You will work on broad and deep software engineering challenges, owning the development of new features from conception through deployment, impacting millions of patients worldwide.

Responsibilities include :

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and design multiple products.
2. Document design specifications.
3. Implement high-quality code and review peer code.
4. Develop test automation for your code.
5. Participate in deploying new code to production environments.
6. Operate and maintain the services you develop.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex software systems.
3. Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming languages such as Java or C++.
4. Knowledge of data structures and design patterns.
5. Experience with RESTful Web Services and cloud platforms like OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
6. Experience handling large data systems, Data Lakes, and relational databases at scale.
7. Strong problem-solving skills.
8. Experience with scalable systems is advantageous.
9. Healthcare or medical data experience is a plus.
