The Role

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET III), you will participate in application development and testing, ensuring continuous quality, testability, and security of code throughout the software development lifecycle. You will build quality within the software development process by creating automated testing suites, providing comprehensive support from code development through functionality. You will design, develop, and maintain automated frameworks, test suites, and scripts for continuous integration, testing, deployment, and delivery.

What you'll do :

1. Use the latest technologies such as AWS, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices Architecture, Relational and NoSQL Databases, Python, Java, and Go.
2. Test infrastructure and business logic for next-generation unified communication platforms.
3. Work as part of an Agile team, responsible for automated test case creation, test planning, test development, and test execution.
4. Provide SDET support across multiple applications and system elements.
5. Document, track, and escalate issues as appropriate, building effective relationships through partnering and collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
6. Define testing requirements with Product and Engineering teams.
7. Contribute to architecture and design reviews with an emphasis on test automation and performance strategy.
8. Design, develop, and execute test plans.
9. Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable test frameworks.
10. Write high-quality documentation, identify, and recommend solutions to observed issues.
11. Evaluate the impact of new features on existing tests and assess the feasibility of testing new features.
12. Work with product managers to develop debugging methodologies and tests.
13. Alert engineering teams and stakeholders about required testing features and protocols.
14. Identify, recommend, and implement processes to improve product quality.
15. Facilitate bug and enhancement tracking via JIRA and other tools.
16. Develop and implement test automation strategies and efforts.

What's required for application :

1. B.S./B.A. degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related technical certification/experience.
2. 5+ years of Test Automation experience.
3. Experience with Cloud technologies, preferably AWS, including EC2, EKS, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, and CI/CD pipelines.
4. Experience testing Relational and NoSQL databases.
5. Experience testing multi-tiered and distributed applications, including RESTful Web Services and J2EE applications.
6. API testing experience with REST and/or SOAP APIs.
7. Experience with API automation tools like Postman, SoapUI, etc.
8. Understanding of real-time communication systems and VoIP protocols such as SIP, RTP, codecs, and WebRTC standards.
9. Proficiency in developing test scripts.
10. Experience with load, performance, and scalability testing.
11. Ability to document, track, and escalate issues effectively, building collaborative relationships.
12. Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Continuous Integration testing systems.

Nice to have :

1. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
2. Experience testing Kafka or similar queuing services.
3. Experience with Data Science and Big Data frameworks.
4. Experience working with XML, XSLT, JSON.
5. Exposure to API security and vulnerability testing.
