The role in a nutshell

In this position, you will contribute to the accuracy, completeness, and alignment of data across Glencore’s Coupa platform, Boomi middleware, and multiple ERP systems (predominantly SAP). This role focuses on monitoring data across these systems, identifying variances, and ensuring resolutions to maintain synchronization and prevent discrepancies. Imagine transforming data governance by automating reconciliation, uncovering actionable insights, and collaborating with global Coupa and SAP teams to address root causes. Your efforts will ensure timely purchase orders, smooth invoice processing, and optimized procurement and finance functions—having a direct effect on business success worldwide. It’s a strategic opportunity to elevate data governance practices and deliver valuable insights to business units for continuous improvement.

More specifically, you will be expected to:

1. Oversee reconciliation processes between Coupa and ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy and completeness;
2. Manage automated monitoring of transactional and master data using Power BI to track variances and discrepancies;
3. Analyze variances, identify root causes, and develop protocols to resolve and prevent future issues;
4. Define and document governance policies for data reconciliation in alignment with audit standards;
5. Collaborate with SAP and Coupa support teams to address system variances while maintaining compliance;
6. Provide stakeholders with variance reports and actionable insights through Power BI dashboards;
7. Assist in implementing financial and operational controls to elevate governance practices;
8. Develop KPIs to monitor reconciliation performance and identify patterns for improvement;
9. Lead automation initiatives to optimize reconciliation processes and reduce manual efforts;
10. Conduct data analysis to uncover inefficiencies, recurring issues, and opportunities for optimization.

Do you have what it takes?

1. Extensive experience in data reconciliation and ERP systems, particularly SAP;
2. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency;
3. Advanced proficiency in Power BI and SQL for data visualization and analysis;
4. Skilled in designing and implementing data integrity controls and governance frameworks;
5. Deep understanding of cross-system data integration and validation;
6. Effective communication skills to engage and influence cross-functional teams;
7. Solid understanding of financial and operational controls within large-scale systems;
8. Experience with multi-ERP environments and managing ETL processes.

Language: As you will be part of a global team, you are expected to communicate fluently in English (verbal and written). Knowledge of other languages such as French, German, or Spanish is favorable but not mandatory.

Travel: Some occasional travelling will be required.

Location: This role will ideally be based at our Malaga office, but we could consider other suitable locations.
