Job Description

As an Application Security Engineer, you will play a vital role in protecting our software products and contributing to our success. You will work with development teams, share your expertise, and design strong security frameworks. With autonomy to set goals and work with innovative technologies, you will help us create a secure environment and advance our organization.

Your mission is to ensure the security and integrity of our software. You will identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, advise on security best practices, and help foster a security-conscious culture within our organization.

Key Objectives

• Collaborate with development teams to embed security into the SDLC.
• Research and configure security tools for comprehensive coverage.
• Define security guidelines for our applications to prevent attacks.
• Consult on new products, including pen-testing, threat modeling, and designing secure solutions.
• Develop vulnerability management systems to identify and address threats proactively.
• Educate developers on security concepts to promote a security-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of application security, secure coding, and common vulnerabilities.
• Experience partnering with Product and Development teams.
• Ability to automate tasks, preferably with Python.
• Experience with cloud native and containerized environments (AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) and security testing.
• Hands-on skills in securing server-side and client-side applications.
• Familiarity with security certifications like ISO 2700X, NIST, SOC2, etc., is a plus.
• Experience with AI security projects is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with distributed teams.
