Job Summary
The Corporate IT Matter Subject Expert for Systems is part of the engineering team focused on Systems-related technologies within the wider Corporate Systems team. The role involves driving the implementation, operation, and improvement of the systems tech stack and practices, including compute, storage, identity, and security, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and efficiency. The candidate will collaborate closely with the Technology, Corporate, and Platform teams to align on and advance the Corporate IT compute system. The ultimate goal is to build and maintain a reliable, scalable, and secure set of compute capabilities at HBX Group, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Corporate IT Systems team in daily activities, ensuring high-quality results and meeting service targets.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Systems Lead and other platform teams to align on the IT roadmap and strategy.
- Drive strategic compute initiatives focusing on on-premises and cloud capabilities, storage, identity, and security, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
- Apply best practices, implement standardized and automated processes, and ensure effective provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of computing services.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues, acting as an escalation point for complex challenges to minimize operational impact.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to computing services; evaluate and recommend new tools and methodologies aligned with organizational goals.
- Participate in a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, sharing knowledge and developing skills through experimentation and creative problem-solving.
- Engage in discussions and decision-making regarding the overall corporate IT architecture and strategic direction.
Skillset and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a systems engineer or in similar roles.
- Experience in IT Operations or related technology functions.
- Strong technical background.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Extensive experience with Azure cloud systems (IaaS, etc.).
- Experience with AD, Exchange, O365, ADFS, GPO, and SSO systems.
- Knowledge of system security, storage, data backup, and recovery.
- Experience with MS platforms (Windows 7/8/10).
- Familiarity with network topologies, TCP/IP protocols.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.
- Certifications in IT Operation frameworks and Agile methodologies are highly desirable.
- MS Systems-related certifications (e.g., AZ104 or similar) are required.
