Job Opportunity: Senior Android Developer for SmartTV

We are hiring a Senior Android Developer for SmartTV to join our team!

Role Overview

As an Android Smart TV Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining applications and operating systems for Smart TV platforms. This role requires experience in Smart TV development environments, multimedia technologies, and user interface design tailored for Smart TV devices, aiming to deliver exceptional user experiences across various platforms.

Your Key Tasks:

• Work within our Agile TV Product team to bring recognized products and services to market, enhancing the TV experience.
• Participate in developing new products and evolving existing ones, contributing to architectural decisions such as the New Generation TV Platform.
• Design and implement new features supporting backend modules and platform functionalities.
• Deliver analysis and development for high-performance, reliable, secure, and scalable applications.
• Mentor team members to foster growth and knowledge sharing.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Android development experience.
• Expertise in software development best practices, including SOLID and Clean Code principles, with a focus on optimization, documentation, and testing.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, different Android versions, and handling various screen sizes.
• Proficiency in Kotlin.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and backend integration.
• Solid understanding of Android UI design principles and best practices.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Experience with version control systems like GIT.
• Experience working with agile methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban.
• Proficiency in Spanish (C1/C2) and English (B2) or equivalent.
• Currently residing in Spain with a valid work permit.

Preferred Skills:

• Higher Education in Computer Science or related bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience specifically with Android TV development.
• Knowledge of sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers.
