Amazon Vendor Services (AVS), in partnership with Retail Business Services (RBS), is a paid B2B service designed to help key vendors collaborate effectively with Amazon.

The Vendor Consultant (VC) will develop and execute strategies to manage key performance metrics for Amazon AVS vendors. The role requires a bright, customer-centric, driven, and creative individual who will interface internally with leaders from RBS, Retail, and Vendor Services teams. The VC will be responsible for aspects of the vendor's business with Amazon, engaging with multiple internal teams to optimize vendor performance.

The role involves analyzing data to grow vendor traffic, brand awareness, customer conversion, and revenue. The VC will also examine strategic and operational aspects of vendor relationships, conduct root cause analysis of issues, and identify opportunities for improvement. The focus is on managing customer relationships strategically and operationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure success based on team performance and vendor impact on customer experience.
  • Partner with the Retail (AVS) Team to manage vendor relationships and advocate for vendor needs at Amazon.
  • Establish effective communication channels, set expectations, provide updates, and develop growth plans for vendors.
  • Create and implement strategic account plans aligned with business opportunities and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve operational aspects and enhance customer experience.
  • Analyze issues deeply and develop data-driven recommendations and action plans.
  • Provide thought leadership on planning, roadmaps, and execution.
  • Build long-term partnerships with key vendors.
  • Support new program and feature launches.
  • Conduct regular business review meetings with vendors to assess performance and develop action plans.
  • Influence metrics by understanding data, creating forecasts, and reacting swiftly with new strategies.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years in vendor / account management, buying / sourcing, sales, product management, or supply chain
  • 2+ years experience interacting with stakeholders / customers
  • 1+ years in program or project management
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Advanced Excel skills (including array and statistical formulas)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Quick learner with the ability to handle ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of macros and data analytics
  • Ability to improve processes and procedures
  • Experience with tools such as SharePoint, SIM-ticketing, project management software, and scripting
