Senior Manager, Social Sustainability and Reporting

Location: Madrid, ES, 28020

ContourGlobal is an established Independent Power Producer developing, acquiring, and operating electricity generation assets worldwide. The company manages over 6.2 GW of installed capacity across various technologies in 18 countries. With a current renewable capacity of 27%, it is committed to accelerating the decarbonization of its portfolio through sustainable transition strategies, including repowering existing renewable assets and developing new projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Align Social Sustainability objectives and programs with corporate goals through cross-functional collaboration.
2. Provide expertise on Social Sustainability issues, including community engagement, social investment, grievances, cultural resources, DEI, human rights, and sustainability disclosures, emphasizing Just Transition principles.
3. Develop and deliver Social Sustainability training and capacity-building initiatives.
4. Establish and monitor global Social Sustainability metrics, targets, and governance, including incident reporting.
5. Track global impacts, trends, and regulatory developments related to Social Sustainability.
6. Manage assurance processes for sustainability metrics and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and transparency in reporting.
7. Support and ensure compliance with relevant disclosure frameworks (e.g., CSRD, IFRS, GRI, TCFD, etc.).
8. Conduct risk assessments for growth opportunities, including business development and M&A.
9. Refine data collection, target-setting, and reporting processes for social performance.
10. Develop a three-year Social Investment Road Map and support sustainable financing initiatives.
11. Manage relationships with stakeholders, including ratings agencies, NGOs, and industry associations.
12. Represent ContourGlobal’s Social Sustainability interests externally and support operational transitions related to decarbonization, including shared value creation and decommissioning.
13. Collaborate internally to enhance Social Sustainability performance and support strategic initiatives.
14. Participate in RFP development, manage consultants, and oversee budgets.

While Madrid is preferred, other locations such as Houston, Sofia, Vienna, and Milan will also be considered.
