Job Description Summary

You will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within the functional area of expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership :
- Support Consulting Engineers in business line technology strategy definition and Multi-Generational Product Plan (MGPP).
- Chair design reviews for components, sub-assemblies, and key engineering deliverables at tendering and contract stages. Support governance and training to reinforce proper design review guidelines.
- Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to create market-winning proposals. Provide technical direction during project execution.
- Provide technical consultation on product issues, including supplier and field support, and perform technical rescues when needed.
- Participate in Patent Evaluation Board (PEB) to protect technology and intellectual property rights.
- Represent the business externally at conferences and maintain relationships with academic institutions for research collaborations.
- Provide ad-hoc technical guidance to management, including customer negotiations and supplier audits.
- Engineering / Technology Practices :
- Support safeguarding design qualities and organize lessons learned to prevent mistakes.
- Maintain involvement in product introduction, cost improvements, and problem resolution.
- Offer technical advice to cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing, supply, or field issues.
- Competency Governance :
- Develop technical competencies through structured training schemes.
- People Development :
- Support staff development and succession planning.
- Participate in hiring and promotion interviews.
- Mentor high potential talents within the organization.
Required Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- At least 10 years of experience in an engineering capacity.

- Experience with Machine Learning technologies and software systems architecture.
- Ability to work across organizations in a matrix environment.
- Preferably a Senior Engineer role experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

- Effective interfacing with various organizational levels.
- Lean experience preferred.
