Senior Accountant (Remote - United Kingdom or EU)

We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant in the UK / European Union.

This role involves supporting day-to-day financial operations and statutory compliance across multiple European entities. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage month-end closes, coordinate audits, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, familiarity with IFRS or US GAAP, and excellent collaboration skills across departments and external providers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the month-end close process for EMEA entities, including variance analysis and reporting.
2. Ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting and coordinate external audits.
3. Manage daily accounting operations such as accounts payable, expense processing, and banking.
4. Prepare regulatory financial reports and analysis for local authorities.
5. Oversee the implementation and review of internal financial controls.
6. Collaborate with global finance teams, external vendors, and internal stakeholders.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement projects and financial systems enhancements.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance roles.
• Fully qualified CPA, CA, ACCA, or CIMA certification.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Experience with international statutory audits and compliance.
• Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments, preferably in tech or SaaS sectors.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite is a plus.
