Key job responsibilities

• Monitor site performance against set KPIs and create plans to improve processes
• Set up workplace health and safety programmes and arrange training sessions
• Analyse safety metrics and incident trends to help colleagues plan appropriate resources for areas with the highest risk
• Carry out audits to ensure site compliance with relevant health and safety laws and implement solutions for identified risks

A day in the life

You’ll be based on one of our sortation centres. Being on site allows you to closely monitor processes. You’ll help us stay compliant with health and safety standards, identify potential issues, and find opportunities for improvement. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you’ll understand the risks they face and gather data to develop smarter, safer work methods. You’ll also establish training and programs to ensure everyone adheres to new safety protocols and standards.

Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) plays a crucial role in maintaining our employees’ mental and physical well-being. Our team collaborates with managers, associates, and local governments across our sites to ensure compliance with Amazon policies and legal regulations, and to maintain safe workplaces.

Opportunities within the team vary from Health and Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. Regardless of your role, you’ll contribute to developing, implementing, and maintaining high safety and wellbeing standards. You may work on diverse projects, including equipment and process inspections, and assessments of processes, building, and equipment design.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of Spanish Environment, Health and Safety legislation
• Advanced proficiency in (local language) and English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies
• Experience planning or managing environmentally conscious initiatives
