Formación

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled In-House Legal Counsel to oversee our legal department. This role involves managing all legal aspects of our business, focusing on Business Law and Data Protection under GDPR. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, and will act as our Data Protection Officer to ensure GDPR compliance. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence our company's legal framework in a dynamic startup environment.

What you need to achieve
  • Contract management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, partners, suppliers, and employees.
  • Compliance and risk management: Ensure adherence to laws and regulations, especially related to business operations and data protection.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide legal advice to mitigate issues.
  • Data protection: Serve as Data Protection Officer, implementing strategies, managing incidents, and maintaining records per GDPR.
  • Legal advisory: Offer advice on intellectual property, employment law, governance, and compliance.
  • Policy development: Create and update internal policies to reflect current laws and promote integrity.
  • Litigation management: Handle disputes and coordinate with external counsel.
  • Training: Conduct staff training on legal compliance, focusing on GDPR.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with departments to ensure legal compliance across the business.
Must have
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent in Law.
  • Licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 5 years of legal experience, with a focus on business law and data protection.
  • Experience as Data Protection Officer and GDPR compliance knowledge.
  • Experience in tech or health sectors preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
