The Corporate Strategy – Market Research Lead supports the Head of Corporate Strategy by providing rigorous, deep market data analysis through continuous and consistent assessment. This facilitates key decision-making at the executive committee level.

The role significantly enhances the company's understanding of ecosystem markets through the ‘Market Center of Excellence’ (Market Lighthouse), building and updating market models for key ecosystem products (e.g., Accommodation, M&E). The analysis outcomes serve as the reference point for market data across the organization, including updates on industry trends, market news, and the competitive landscape (including quarterly reporting reflections).

The position also supports the Strategy Planning Program by fostering collaboration between Commercial Strategy, Finance (Budget & Forecasting), and Commercial Planning & Performance functions. It ensures ownership, accountability, and the achievement of key milestones to deliver the Strategic Plan (e.g., 3-Year Plan).

Responsibilities :

  • Develops Market Lighthouse “Centre of Excellence” reports through continuous market assessment of trends, company results, threats, and opportunities impacting the business.
  • Builds internal proprietary Ecosystem Market models to understand market size, growth, and key trends, including macroeconomic correlation analysis to forecast industry growth.
  • Conducts primary research via quarterly analysis of key travel companies, external data sources (e.g., Euromonitor, PW, Bank research), internal stakeholders, and attendance at major trade conferences.
  • Prepares competitive landscape reports to inform strategic and commercial actions by understanding competitors’ goals, size, growth, and profitability.
  • Shares weekly market highlights with the Executive Committee, Board, and investors.
  • Supports the annual Strategic Planning Process by :
  • Identifying internal / external issues and opportunities through market and competitor analysis.
  • Defining key strategic objectives in collaboration with senior management.
  • Establishing a Strategy Planning framework that sets standards and promotes cross-team collaboration to define, quantify, and support strategic initiatives.

Skills :

  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, creative thinking, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Solid financial acumen with understanding of financial principles and budgeting processes.
  • Excellent presentation skills for synthesizing complex topics into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Good judgment for making timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior internal stakeholders.

Experience :

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in market research, analysis, and insight synthesis within a Strategy Consulting firm or at global organizations.

Qualifications :

Management, Engineering, or related degree.
