CoastAL Restaurant offers a fresh, classic coastal cuisine featuring chef-inspired dishes, local seafood, seasonal favorites, and indulgent desserts. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it provides a versatile dining experience, from quick bites on the beach to romantic dinners with spectacular views.

The restaurant is seeking passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic, and proactive aspiring chefs worldwide who wish to gain a once-in-a-lifetime professional and cultural experience in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform various food preparations, cooking, and cleaning tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operation and quality service.
• Complete all tasks on the prep list from the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
• Prepare food items daily in assigned outlets and other kitchen areas.
• Ensure dishes are clean, sanitized, and ready for service; operate and maintain dishwashing equipment.
• Assist kitchen staff in producing menu items to ensure high performance, guest satisfaction, and profitability.

Estimated Monthly Budget

• Projected monthly income: $2,400 (Hourly wage: $15)
• Housing costs: $600/month
• Meals provided during working hours

J1 Visa Program

This traineeship is part of a J1 visa program designed for young professionals or recent graduates to develop their careers, gain work experience, and engage in cultural exchange.

The total cost for the J1 Visa process and application fees is $1,870, broken down as follows:

• Final payment upon visa approval: $1,450 (includes $650 for mandatory health insurance)

Disclaimer: The first month of housing must be paid in advance by the candidate. Airfare costs are not covered by the employer and will vary based on the departure city.

• Wage: $14/hour ($2,400/month)

Candidate Requirements

To be eligible for a J1 Visa, you must:

• Be between 18 and 35 years old.
• Have graduated from an accredited institution with a degree related to the job, and possess at least 12 months of professional experience, OR
• Be a young professional with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
