What you'll do

• Drive the design, development, and enhancement of core features of our observability platform, utilizing cutting-edge technologies for scalable and reliable solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring a team of talented engineers to achieve technical excellence and deliver high-quality code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust, scalable systems that meet customer demands.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, researching and experimenting with innovative solutions to improve our platform.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, advocating best practices and fostering collaboration.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize system performance, and ensure platform stability and availability.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, sharing knowledge, and encouraging professional growth within the team.

This role requires

• Bachelor’s degree in software development, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, proficient in Java and / or Go, with a strong computer science background and quick learning aptitude.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software systems using modern languages and frameworks.
• Proven mentoring skills, guiding teams towards technical excellence and quality delivery.
• Strong understanding of scalable distributed systems and microservices architecture, capable of designing high-performance solutions.
• Passion for exploring new technologies and solving complex problems, with awareness of industry trends in observability and related fields.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, effective with cross-functional teams and technical presentations.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), serverless computing, Docker, Kubernetes, among others.

Bonus points if you have

• Contributions to open source projects.
• Experience with GraphQL schemas.
• Building and maintaining high-throughput pipelines and distributed systems.
• Experience in observability products, especially in SaaS vendor environments.
