Job Description

We are looking for a Linear Infrastructures Design Engineer with experience in rail geometric design , to join our ambitious and experienced Linear Infrastructures team. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors.

The responsibilities of this role include :

• Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to linear infrastructures.
• Independently preparing design calculations or reports related to railway elements (geometric design).
• Performs railway engineering work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others and participates in quality control reviews of documentation originated by equally or less experienced staff.
• Prepares project deliverables that are reviewed by senior team members.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

Qualifications

• Fluent in French and English, oral and written.
• Proven track record of working on railway designs (+4 years).
• Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e AASTHO; AREMA; Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.) will be considered favorably.
• Advanced level in geometric design and 3D modeling using any of the following :
• Bentley Open Roads / Open Rail Designer software.
• PowerRail Track
• Civil3D
• Advanced level in CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and / or MicroStation).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering.
• US and / or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably.
