Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Local Site Manager to lead a high-end luxury villa construction project in Barcelona (Pedralbes). Relocation may be required if not already residing there. In this role, you will be responsible for translating designs into reality, ensuring the successful delivery of a luxury villa that meets client expectations, standards, and project constraints.

Responsibilities

• Site Oversight: Manage all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety, and environmental standards.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the project manager and Head of Construction to execute construction plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and procurement.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality, ensuring work reflects architectural intricacies and luxury standards.
• Budget Management: Manage project expenses effectively, seeking cost-effective construction methods without compromising quality.
• Team Leadership: Coordinate subcontractors, laborers, and staff, fostering collaboration and addressing challenges proactively.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of activities, progress, and site conditions, providing regular updates to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (Required).
• Post-graduate studies in Construction Management or related fields (Preferred).
• At least 10 years of experience in construction site roles such as inspector, project engineer, or site supervisor.
• Minimum of 6 years working on luxury villas or high-end residential projects.
• Experience completing at least three full projects in Spain, preferably in touristic regions.
• Proficiency with construction software like AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and practices.
• Fluency in English and native Spanish.
• Proven problem-solving skills with examples of overcoming technical or logistical challenges.
