For our innovative Mako robotics system, we are looking for an Associate Mako Product Specialist to cover the clinical field service in the area of Ciudad Real. The Mako enables surgeons to have a more predictable surgical experience when performing joint replacement surgery (hip, knee).

With your strong communication skills, you will brief the assigned customers and provide them with intensive on-site guidance before and during surgical procedures in all areas of application of the Mako Robotics System. After an intensive training and onboarding phase of 6 months including certification, you will work within a highly engaged team that truly cares about making healthcare better by providing best customer product support with a high level of personal responsibility.

As a Mako Product Specialist at Stryker, you will help transform orthopedic surgeries around the world and help us achieve our mission of making healthcare better.

In this role, you’ll be a resident expert in everything concerning the Mako robot – our newest product used in robotic-arm assisted surgery.

What You Will Do

  • Provide surgeons and operating room staff with training and Clinical / Technical support in the operation of Mako robot and its associated equipment and instruments to ensure ideal placement and precision.
  • Provide product feedback to Stryker engineers to enhance product design.
  • Build professional relationships with healthcare staff and surgeons.
  • Create detailed case reports and resolve product-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support account growth.
  • Obtain purchase orders for products consumed during surgical procedures and maintain and track consigned inventories of the company's products.
  • Partner with other cross-functional teams in selling the clinical benefits of the company’s products, drive continuous account growth and case volume.

What You Need

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree within the field of biomedical engineering, medical technology, health sciences or Medical Certification (i.e. CST, PT, CPT, etc.) with minimum 1 year of professional and / or related experience.
  • Minimum 1 year relevant work experience in a sales and / or technical environment (medical, pharmaceutical, healthcare industry) as clinical support specialist, nurse, physiotherapist, application specialist, product specialist, paramedic or similar.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required (minimum C1 level in both languages). We kindly ask you to apply with an English CV.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred :

  • Master’s degree within the field of biomedical engineering, medical technology, health sciences.
  • Experience with clinical training and education programs.
  • Orthopedic surgery experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business administrative and clerical procedures and systems (e.g., word processing, file management and record maintenance).

Presence in OR : 80%

Travel percentage : 30% (a bit higher in the first year)
