Senior Software Developer (IC3) – Oracle Life Sciences

Location : Spain (remote)

We are seeking a Senior Development Engineer with expertise in distributed systems and cloud services to join Oracle Health / Life Sciences. The role involves developing services critical to supporting market viability assessments of new treatments, bringing treatments to market, and ensuring long-term patient wellness and safety worldwide.

As a Senior Development Engineer, you will design, build, and operate applications, components, and services ranging from big data technologies and distributed computing to data storage and efficient data planes, serving life science customers and advancing patient care. You will work on both broad and deep software systems engineering challenges, owning the development of new features from concept to deployment. Your work will impact millions of patients and contribute to better health outcomes globally.

Responsibilities include :

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Architecture, Product Strategy & Development, QA, Sales & Services, Central Teams) to architect and design multiple products
• Document design specifications
• Implement high-quality code and review peer code
• Develop test automation for your code
• Participate in deploying new code to production
• Operate and maintain developed services

Qualifications :

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex software systems
• Proven experience with Java or C++
• Strong understanding of data structures and design patterns
• Experience with RESTful Web Services and cloud platforms like OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with large-scale data systems such as Data Lakes and Relational Databases
• Aptitude for problem-solving
• Experience with scalable systems is a plus
• Experience with healthcare systems or medical data is a plus
