The successful candidate will be responsible for co-project management (in cooperation with the PI) of the lab´s priority projects (development of in vitro systems : maternal-fetal interface and vascularized cardiac model).
Tasks will include :
- Strategic planning with PI on lab´s priority projects, including writing project applications and securing funds.
- Lead research projects : project planning, experimental design and implementation to support priority projects.
- Cell based approaches : Utilize various cell culture techniques to isolate, expand, and differentiate cells relevant to vascular tissue engineering, including endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells, and stem cells.
- Design / Test novel 3D systems : Design and optimize 3D systems to mimic the physiological environment of blood vessels.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation : Collect and analyze experimental data, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusions. Utilize statistical tools and computational modeling techniques to enhance data analysis in support of priority projects.
- Collaboration and Leadership : Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, biologists, clinicians, and other scientists. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior scientists and research associates.
- Publications and Presentations : Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals and present research at conferences and scientific symposiums. Contribute to intellectual property protection.
- Stay Up-to-date of Latest Developments : Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in vascular tissue engineering and related fields. Participate in conferences, workshops, and continuing education opportunities to expand knowledge and expertise.
- Train existing and new staff on experimental assays related to priority projects. Delegating lab tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Reporting to PI regularly on key metrics (including budgets) for priority projects.
