Main purpose of the SAP Basis Specialist will be to ensure the SAP Cloud environment is kept simple, scalable, resilient, and vendor-agnostic, focusing on performance and availability.

The SAP Basis Specialist will work closely with the SAP Operations Manager and the Sr. Director for Network & Infrastructure, focusing on continuous improvement of the entire SAP landscape, including applicable non-SAP applications.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure top performance for all SAP systems by proactively identifying improvement areas.
2. Expand current SAP solutions for scalability, resiliency, and maintainability using cloud functionalities.
3. Architect new SAP Cloud solutions and integrate them with existing on-premise and cloud systems.
4. Collaborate with RHG Product management on innovative use cases.
5. Set up and configure SAP based on best practices.
6. Automate SAP deployment, configuration, and operations.
7. Work with engineering and program management to execute RHG 5YP strategy, including SAP migrations and cloud improvements.
8. Ensure project delivery aligns with contract terms: quality, schedule, and cost.
9. Proactively monitor system performance, identify trends, and resolve issues before escalation.
10. Maintain high collaboration and team spirit across all project parties, interacting effectively with senior leadership.

Accountabilities

The SAP Basis Specialist is accountable for the smooth operation, continuous innovation, and transformation of Radisson’s SAP Cloud environments.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Location

• Madrid highly preferred
• Fluent English, almost native, is a must

Must Have Experience

• Extensive SAP BASIS, SAP Technical Architecture, business development, infrastructure, and cloud experience
• Deep knowledge of SAP Basis / NetWeaver Administration
• Experience with SAP system migrations or upgrades
• Over 10 years of IT consulting experience as a technical specialist in enterprise environments
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale solutions for FTSE 100 or equivalent companies
• Expertise in Big Data, Analytics, and Machine Learning domains with technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Teradata, Redshift
• At least 5 years of international experience

Highly Desirable Experience

• Broad knowledge of the entire SAP platform stack
• Deep experience with SAP HANA
• Experience with SAP PO, SAP BO
• Experience with SAP ASE databases
• Previous experience architecting SAP solutions on Cloud
• Hospitality industry experience
• Availability for up to 30% travel, primarily to Brussels
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Passion for customer service, efficiency, and quality
• Team player with willingness to share expertise
• Leadership qualities and effective communication at director level or above
• University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
• Project management qualification is a plus
