You'll forge strong partnerships with Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams to understand their needs, whilst managing external vendors to deliver top-tier quality. Leveraging your mastery of Translation Management System (Lokalise), you'll implement innovative solutions, track progress, and ensure our products resonate seamlessly across diverse locales, breaking down language barriers and fostering a smooth, intuitive user experience globally.
What You'll Do :
As a Localisation Project Manager at Sitetracker, you will oversee all aspects of our localisation projects, ensuring cultural and linguistic adaptation for target markets. This role requires strong project management, communication, collaboration skills, and a thorough understanding of localisation processes.
The Skills You'll Have :
- Communication : Fluency in English is mandatory; additional fluency in Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Dutch is highly advantageous.
- Experience building relationships with vendors such as translators, localisation project managers, and account managers.
- Strong relationships with internal stakeholders across engineering, design, QA, marketing, customer success, implementation, and sales across different global time zones.
- Localisation Process : Establishing and maintaining consistent terminology and stylistic guidelines, managing external translation vendors, overseeing the localisation lifecycle, and collaborating to establish efficient workflows.
- Localisation Quality Assurance : Establishing quality metrics, setting benchmarks, managing QA workflows, identifying errors, and providing feedback to vendors.
- Technical Aptitude : Experience with TMS tools like Lokalise, Trados, memoQ, Smartling, Phrase; proficiency with Jira or similar; handling localisation file formats (STF, JSON, CSV, XLIFF); understanding software development lifecycles and content management systems.
Within 90 Days, You'll :
- Achieve certification in the Sitetracker platform.
- Build relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Gain proficiency in Lokalise and other localisation tools.
- Lead at least two major localisation projects.
- Understand Sitetracker's localisation standards.
- Review ongoing localisation efforts and identify improvements.
Within 180 Days, You'll :
- Manage multiple localisation projects ensuring they stay within budget and schedule.
- Strengthen relationships across departments and vendors.
- Implement process improvements based on initial assessments.
Within 365 Days, You'll :
- Complete key localisation projects with measurable improvements.
- Master our TMS and workflow, suggesting enhancements.
- Provide training on localisation best practices.
- Address gaps in localisation efforts and promote localisation within Sitetracker.
