Job Description: PreSales Engineer
As a PreSales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities within the Digital services sector and providing support to assigned German customers. Your daily tasks will include:
- Writing and constructing proposals for final customers.
- Providing technical and commercial support to the sales team throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Managing Digital Services opportunities from initiation to completion.
- Designing technical solutions and developing comprehensive business cases.
- Developing partner relationships to enhance the standard offering and value proposition.
- Understanding customer needs and providing expert advice on IT solution design.
- Managing client demands and expectations from a technical perspective.
- Supporting sales teams with technical needs, focusing on client requirements and solution definition.
- Sharing technical knowledge from a sales perspective and training support teams.
- Collaborating with global departments (Presales, Procurement, Operations, Finances) to meet client demands.
- Working with marketing and product teams to prepare training sessions for sales and engineering teams.
- Keeping up-to-date with digital technologies and industry trends.
- Achieving sales targets, milestones, KPIs, and financial metrics related to revenue and profitability.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideally, you will have:
- A BS/CS degree; an MBA or MSc and relevant certifications (e.g., ISACA CISA, CISSP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE4, etc.) are desirable.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Sales Consultant in the digital industry, with experience in presales and operations, preferably with large accounts (IBEX35, CAC40, DAX).
- Experience testing new products and analyzing market fit, managing global solutions for multinational companies, and working in a B2B/B2B2C environment.
- Deep knowledge of T-Tech's organizational structure and processes, including presales, operations, product, finance, procurement, and order management.
- Strong understanding of the digital industry, market, and ecosystems, with a proven track record in business development.
- Professional demeanor with excellent technical and communication skills, influencing and negotiating effectively.
- Ability to balance risks and customer requirements, with a creative approach to sales and problem-solving.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze situations for informed decision-making.
- Excellent written communication skills, especially in bid writing and negotiations.
Languages
- Fluent English is mandatory; German and Spanish are desirable.
