The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in renewable energy, and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our Global Sales Engineering team. This entrepreneurial role involves collaboration with Account Management, Sales, Business Development, and Product teams to deliver proposals and messaging to customers. You will be the primary technical contact throughout the sales process, collecting customer requirements, developing proposals, and conveying solutions. Post-sale, you will coordinate with engineering and customer success teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

You will represent Power Factors at industry events, build relationships, and ensure a positive customer experience from initial engagement to contract signing. The role reports to the Director of Sales Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate technical aspects of commercial discussions and interpret project documentation.
  • Develop and present proposals in response to RFPs / RFQs.
  • Manage scope, identify gaps, and align commitments between Sales and Product teams.
  • Maintain product databases and stay updated on pricing and availability.
  • Design system architectures in collaboration with Delivery, IT, and Product teams.
  • Manage customer and project information in CRM.
  • Deliver tailored sales presentations addressing customer needs.
  • Represent Power Factors at industry events.
  • Coordinate project hand-offs internally.
  • Address complex problems and prioritize effectively.
  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation.

Requirements for Success

We value creative problem-solving, multitasking, and continuous learning. The ideal candidate has :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical product / project management, estimation, or IT / networking within renewable energy or storage industries.
  • Experience with OT systems (SCADA, automation) and interpreting electrical / network diagrams.
  • Familiarity with CAD, Visio, or similar tools for diagramming.
  • Proven ability to perform in fast-paced environments and manage priorities.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong technical thinking and ability to manage details and big picture.
  • Experience working autonomously and as a team contributor.
  • Problem-solving skills with logical and innovative approaches.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Experience

  • Using and configuring DAS / SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC standards).
  • Technical writing, marketing, and RFP responses.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Fluency in Spanish (both written and oral) is a plus.
