The R&D Verification Engineer II joins CASE BU to conduct software testing of SaaS based applications.This role assesses how well the product meets customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied. The role works closely with other members of the product creation team and communicates with technical specialists on product issues

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Specify and write test cases, creates, modify and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts
  • Perform functional, application, regression and white box testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible causes of problems
  • Automate testing activities at both the application and source code levels
  • Contribute to expanding test coverage, monitoring daily test results, and diagnosing root causes of test failures
  • Be an active and flexible team member, ensuring the success of our projects
  • Create test plans,participate in defect management and testing metrics
  • Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes
  • Work in a variety of computing environments: Windows, Linux

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years of experience, or MS with no experience
  • Programming experience in Python
  • Experience with Pytest and writing the unit, integration and end-to-end test using Pytest framework
  • Experience with different software delivery methodologies such as Agile, Scrum etc.
  • Experience with Front-end (UI) automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Technical knowledge and experience with standard software engineering practices such as CI/CD
  • Experience with automated test frameworks such as Pytest/Junit
  • Basic understanding of Docker and containerization concepts
  • Experience in a large-scale commercial software testing and verification environment
  • Basic knowledge of the database such as PostgreSQL

Knowledge of debugging the existing test scripts using VS code or similar tool
