The ideal candidate will drive sales, manage client relationships, and leverage technical knowledge to succeed in a competitive market. Fluency in Spanish is required, and English proficiency is preferred for international interactions.

Deltapharma is the Spanish branch of Faravelli Group, an international distributor of ingredients and chemicals with ambitious growth goals for the coming years.

This is why we are currently looking for a Food Ingredients / Food Supplements Sales & Technical Manager, who, with their entrepreneurial approach and hands-on attitude, will contribute to the development of the business.

What are we looking for?

A results-driven, target-oriented Food Ingredients / Food Supplements Sales & Technical Manager with significant experience in sales, particularly in the food / nutraceuticals raw materials sector. A technical background in Food Science is a plus.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals.

  1. Proven sales experience in the chemical raw materials or food industry, preferably with a successful track record in B2B sales. Knowledge of the food supply chain and its specific requirements is beneficial;
  2. In-depth knowledge of chemical raw materials used in the food industry, including hydrocolloids. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards is advantageous;
  3. Technical understanding of the chemical composition, properties, and applications of the products you distribute. Ability to discuss product specifications, quality standards, and usage with customers. A bachelor's or master's degree in food science or a related technical discipline is a plus;
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers, understand their needs, and explain the technical aspects of your products;
  5. Ability to build relationships to establish and maintain long-term partnerships with clients;
  6. Proficiency in sales techniques, such as prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals;
  7. A problem-solving mindset to address technical challenges and find solutions for customers, including troubleshooting product issues and proposing improvements;
  8. Up-to-date knowledge of the Spanish food industry market, including trends, competitors, and potential customers, to identify new opportunities and adapt to market changes;
  9. The flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, customer preferences, and new products;
  10. Fluency in Spanish. Proficiency in English is often necessary for international business interactions and internal communication within the Faravelli Group.
