WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

PagoNxt Trade is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer, based in our Boadilla del Monte office.

PagoNxt is organized into three business areas:

• Merchant Solutions, for merchants and acquirers.
• Trade Solutions, for corporates and SMEs.

This role will be part of our PagoNxt Trade Solutions team, responsible for delivering fast, efficient trade finance, supply chain, and FX payments solutions for international SMEs, previously accessible only to larger corporations.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will join our IT Architecture team as a key contributor, applying extensive knowledge of design principles and practices to implement complex, enterprise-scale digital payments platforms. Your responsibilities include architecture, design, and solution implementation within our ecosystem.

EXPERIENCE

• At least 8+ years of experience
• Extensive experience in Java, working with various Spring Boot projects, testing frameworks, and integration tools
• Experience building and deploying microservices at scale in enterprise platforms (5+ years)
• Experience with TDD and BDD development methodologies
• Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases
• Designing and coding RESTful APIs supporting web and programmatic callers
• Focus on quality, security, performance, scalability, usability, and operations
• Proposing improvements to code quality and development lifecycle
• Strong team-oriented mindset
• Experience with DevOps culture and Agile methodologies
• Experience in cloud environments, preferably Azure and AWS
• Knowledge of CI / CD practices using tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, Maven, etc., and containerization with Kubernetes, Openshift

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, telecommunications, or related field

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Excellent English communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS), Openshift
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical designs
