Databricks Platform Engineer

This role involves working in a consulting capacity for a large insurance company based in The Netherlands. The position is primarily remote, allowing you to reside anywhere in Spain. It offers a permanent Spanish contract, with occasional meetups for social events or training in Madrid or Malaga.

What you will do

1. Manage and innovate the Databricks Unity Catalog and Collibra Data platforms within the scope of Data Governance.
2. Facilitate platform usage by supporting and communicating with data engineers and technical stakeholders to enable the creation of innovative data solutions and products.
3. Perform Operations & Service Delivery, including Change Management, Configuration Management, Life-cycle Management (LCM), and resolving complex incidents and problems.
4. Maintain Security and Compliance according to company policies and procedures.
5. Proactively enhance infrastructure availability and stability, including monitoring, reliability management, and developing automations via CI/CD pipelines on Azure Cloud.

Who you are

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree and possess a strong analytical mindset.
• Have over 3 years of experience in IT and change projects.
• Basic knowledge of Data Management and Data Engineering.
• Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and Collibra Data platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud infrastructure, systems, and tools.
• Experience setting up pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
