Join the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team

We maintain and optimize technologies in Amazon's Warehouse & Delivery Network. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Building Management System (BMS) Specialist to lead and mentor a new team. This role requires strong technical expertise in BMS programming, leadership skills, and business acumen. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of our global BMS services to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Support, mentor, and inspire fellow BMS Specialists, fostering collaboration and innovation.
2. Develop and implement strategies for maintaining and expanding global support services.
3. Design and manage scalable BMS Standard Operating Procedures, policies, and processes.
4. Maintain and optimize BMS technologies, IoT platforms, and data analytics.
5. Monitor ticketing and work order processes to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
6. Analyze BMS data for optimization, energy efficiency, and cost savings.
7. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, emphasizing customer focus.
8. Provide strategic insights on BMS trends, improvements, and emerging technologies.
9. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for BMS initiatives.
10. Collaborate with global teams to understand customer needs and operational goals.
11. Stay updated on industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
12. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
13. Ensure availability of support for 24/7 BMS operations worldwide.

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Extensive experience in BMS programming and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for control signals and low voltage power.
• Ability to integrate and troubleshoot multiple communication protocols (BACnet, LON, Modbus, SNMP).
• Experience with remote troubleshooting of IP communications (Niagara Fox, MQTT, BACnet/IP, SNMP).
• Deep understanding of HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Spanish at B1 or B2 level.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with global project management and multicultural teams.
• Proficiency in cloud IoT platforms, data analytics, and visualization tools.
• Certifications in relevant programming languages or BMS systems.
• Certifications in Tridium Niagara and/or Distech Controls.
• Strong customer relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of facility management and electrical/mechanical aspects of BMS.
• Additional language skills.
