Medical Services Specialist

The Medical Services Specialist is a customer-focused individual who serves as the primary resource for customers contacting the Information Center regarding products and services. The role involves utilizing healthcare experience and product/disease state training to communicate specific product and/or disease state information effectively via telephone, email, and written communication. The topics handled are extensive, including product information, pricing, patient education materials, product quality complaints, adverse experiences, and more.

The specialist must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, working independently in a call center environment. Building rapport with internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining relationships, and responding to inquiries are essential functions.

Additionally, the Medical Services Specialist may contribute to outbound initiatives, reaching out to customers to deliver targeted product messages.

Responsibilities :
  • Manage all customer inquiries to successful resolution.
  • Provide product and disease state information, including on- and off-label details within standard response guidelines.
  • Deliver world-class customer service and immediate resolution at the point of contact.
  • Communicate messages, product information, and offers to healthcare professionals and consumers via outbound calls.
  • Evaluate and escalate calls as appropriate.
  • Respond to non-phone inquiries (e.g., email, fax).
  • Comply with industry regulations, including adverse event and product quality processes.
  • Manage project work in a timely manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, medical, disease, and industry information.
  • Record customer interactions and pertinent information accurately.
  • Share insights on calls, issues, trends, and solutions with the team.
Qualifications :
  • Bilingual in Swedish and Finnish (C1/C2) plus English (B2+).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous call center experience preferred.
  • Experience providing medical information to healthcare professionals is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with IT, PCs, and databases.
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Education :
  • School completion plus 3 years of training (university, apprenticeship, vocational) or;
  • 3 years of training in life sciences preferred.
