As a Learning Coach (LC), your role extends beyond conventional teaching. Your responsibilities aim to foster a supportive learning atmosphere while engaging with Learners, parents, and the broader community. Here's an overview of your core functions:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Knowledge & Skills:

  1. Weekly Meetings/Sessions: Organize weekly and sprint meetings to coach and mentor learners, guiding them towards independence and self-direction.
  2. Progress Monitoring: Track learners' progress and ensure they meet their academic sprint goals, helping them reach their potential.
  3. Exam Administration: Oversee exam processes, including mock exams, registration, communication with parents, and consent management.
  4. Active Hub Presence: Maintain consistent attendance and participation in hub activities to contribute to a vibrant learning environment.
  5. Peer Learning Promotion: Encourage peer-to-peer learning to enhance collaboration among learners and Course Managers.
  6. Sprint Reports: Collaborate with learners to create reports reflecting on their achievements and future goals.
Community
  1. Parent Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents through meetings, events, and addressing concerns to build strong partnerships.
  2. Community Building: Develop relationships within the community, promote BGA events via newsletters, and encourage active participation.
  3. Event Planning: Organize workshops, internships, talks, and activities to foster community and holistic development. Also, coordinate Build Weeks—leisure activities during each Sprint to strengthen community ties.
Operations
  1. Financial Oversight: Manage the hub budget, maintain accurate records, and procure supplies efficiently.
  2. Maintenance Reporting: Identify and communicate maintenance issues to the Operations team, resolving minor issues locally under guidance.
