Job Description : Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Smileat

Smileat is a Spanish company founded in 2015 with the vision to revolutionize organic baby food by offering honest alternatives with 0% added sugar and salt, avoiding additives and sweeteners, and using organic ingredients and sustainable packaging.

Currently, we are the second-largest organic baby food brand in market share, the top-selling Spanish brand in our category, and the fastest-growing child food brand online. We are expanding into new markets such as Portugal, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, Moldova, Greece, Cyprus, Costa Rica, and Japan, focusing on international growth.

We are seeking a proactive, organized, and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) responsible for planning, directing, and supervising daily operations to ensure efficiency, resource optimization, and strategic implementation for sustained growth.

Key Responsibilities :

• Operational Management : Oversee and optimize processes across all company areas.
• Leadership and Team Management : Lead, motivate, and manage operational leaders; foster a collaborative, high-performance environment; promote talent development and training.
• Technological and Methodological Implementation : Use technological tools and agile methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce operational time; analyze KPIs and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Budget Control : Manage budgets, oversee inventory, logistics, and supply chain to control costs and enhance profitability.
• Risk Management : Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or similar; graduate or MBA preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, data management, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in project management, process improvement, and resource optimization.
• High proficiency in English (C1 level); additional languages are a plus.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerBI.
